'E Wuz Robbed!

I dont really need to enlighten anyone on the 'political' voting of the Eurovision Song Contest, because everybody already knows how it works, and that nobody ever votes for England anymore, apart from San Marino [thank you].

To be honest, you have to applaud Andy Abrahams, the contestant flying the flag for the English this year, as he did give us our best Eurovision song for years. A measly 14 points clearly did not reflect his efforts.

But its expected right?

For me, the best song of the evening was from France's Sébastien Tellier, an already well known artist, with song Divine. I think I was probably taken with this right from the beginning when he drove onto the stage in a golf cart. The whole thing seemed like a bit of a joke to me, but it certainly didnt disappiont.

Enjoy!

Oh and if anyone can tell me what the hell Bosnia & Herzegovina's entry was all about then I would be very appreciative, how that got more points than our binman Andy I do not know...

Catch 22

[Far right...when hes of legal age he is gonna look like the more attractive version of Luke Pritchard..]

Lo-Fi Culture Scene are a group of 5 13/14 year old boys from North London, oh no i hear you scream, another boring bunch of kids who wanna be like Arctic Monkeys; fear not, these lot are great.
Its quite hard for me to make a coherent post as i am listening to them this very second, and far too many adjectives are flying into my brain space at once.
Basically, they make great music that you will listen to over and over again and know the words to every song within two days.
I just cant believe how young they are, they leave no clues, not vocally or instrumentally, and they certainly make music better than bands of twice their age!

To be honest, if i was that talented at their age, i would be a very happy chappy.

Lo-Fi Culture Scene - Catch 22

Saturday 3 May 2008

Well it has been a while..

So, nearly three months since my last post. Thats quite a lot of time and quite a lot of procrastination; this of course is irrelevant as nobody reads this blog, but it makes me feel better to write this and explain myself.

Three months is a long time, therefore allowing me to accumulate a load of goodies for your ears.

I am happy to say, Ear Bait is back on track, with some tracks for yoooou.

I have decided not to go for all new music, just music that catches my attention and that needs to be shared, OK, it will probably all end up new but whatever, the post after this isn't so there.

[OK, its clear I have gone mad.]

Firstly, I am gonna have to post my drafts, I have about 50 million that haven't yet been published so I suppose I can get that job out of the way first....
